What do you think is a good and healthy age for dating and why?

just wanna know what ya'll think.

I think 14/15 with the strictest rules in all the world. Ie cinema dates shouldn't ever need to be over four hours long, have to be home by 8, only go on two dates a week, no boys upstairs, stuff like that.

I basically came to that conclusion when I was 14 as that's when most of my friends started getting it together with boys. I think it's a parent's responsibility to accept that but funnel it into the safest channels possible. It also ingrains that dates are nice polite things and that's a good mindset to be in.

I don't think it's unreasonable for 16 year olds to go clubbing or to the pub in the UK (unless it's in a place like London). I don't want to suppress a kid's hormones and then say "sure, stay out till 3am!" once they're 16. That seems like a situation where they'd really go off the rails. (again, speaking from what I remember my friends getting up to!)

Obviously 13 and below I think of as too young as most of them haven't even hit puberty yet!
